Being a Business Analyst for a year and almost 9 months, what are my conclusions to this position? Yes, I am suitable for this job, but I still need to master my skills. Yes, I know some of the stuff to work things out, but I need to think wise and think of the business meaning. The underlying business processes in systems really makes you to create, to measure, and to execute.
Now, to create means the innovation with you. Work is miserable if you are just thinking of supporting what you have now. The absence of creativity leads to the absence of enhancements and what goes better for a system. However, with the limitation, barriers and situated environment, you have to make your innovation / creation sensible, proper and justifiable to move on. The final part involves execution - for the IT world, it's all about development, testing, and deployment. The SDLC flows and flows. The question is, why is this so interesting? Entering this new company brings me the joy of labouring a new system. This green system (and I do mean both the colour [the UI is green] and new establishment) brings me to hesitation, acceptance, and finally maintenance. It all involves hard work but then this is not the end. To watch it grow, and maybe oneday the development of new systems based on this once to be green system, this is it's life and our role as Business Analyst is to guide it to grow.
This is the joy of an IT Business Analyst and how we enjoy life.
